To keep our system fair and balanced for everyone, each receipt can only be used a limited number of times in the app.
How many times can I use a receipt?
You can use one receipt up to 3 times total.
However for receipts with multiple brands listed (eg, a Supermarket shop with 5 Social Tip Brand partners listed) can be used 3 times per receipt per brand.
Note: the number of items purchased per brand does not affect this limit. Whether you bought one or five products from the same brand on a single receipt, the limit is still 3 uses (one per content type) for that brand.
How do receipt uses work?
Each receipt can be applied once per content type.
Currently, we support content on:
Instagram
TikTok (TikTok Stories are not supported)
This means a single receipt can normally be used for:
1 Instagram in-feed post (a Reel, image post, or carousel — your choice, but only one per receipt)
1 TikTok video
1 Instagram Story
Once a receipt has been used for a specific content type, it cannot be reused for that same type again.
📌 From 1 August 2026: each of these posts must use a different piece of content (asset). The same photo or video can no longer be used for more than one post on the same platform — for example, the same asset can't be used for both your Instagram in-feed post and your Instagram Story. You can still use one receipt for 1 in-feed post, 1 Story, and 1 TikTok — just make sure each post on the same platform uses a different asset.
