Social Tip Rejection Reasons
1. Author does not match
The author of the post does not match the connected account owner. Social Tip can only reward you for your own authentic content. If the face does not match on both the post and the account, or if we have any suspicion that you have stolen someone’s content, it will be rejected.
2. Brand does not match
The brand mentioned in the post does not match the brand partner. Once you have synced your post, you are unable to change the brand you selected. If it is an error, we will have to reject the post. You can reshare the post and sync it again — this will not impact your reward. Additionally, posts about food or drink for the M&S brand are ineligible for rewards due to the UK HFSS (High Fat, Salt, Sugar) regulations, which apply regardless of content authenticity. For instance, substituting or misspelling a brand name, such as using "Coffee Nero" instead of "Caffè Nero," could lead to a rejection due to brand mismatches.
3. Duplicate post
This post has already been submitted and received a reward. We do not allow you to repost the exact same content on the exact same media type.
For example: if you make a reel and then share it to your story, the story qualifies for a reward but at a reduced amount because it is not original.
If you post the exact same reel multiple times and sync it again, the following submissions will be rejected. This can impact your user quality score on our app.
4. Post not visible
The post is not visible or has been deleted from the platform. This is specifically mentioned in our Terms and Conditions. If a user is rejected for this several times, we may have to escalate and suspend the account.
5. Receipt not valid
The receipt you provided does not meet our requirements, is blurry or illegible, has been AI-generated, or has been used more than one time per platform and per media type.
6. Receipt too old
If the receipt is older than 5 years, it cannot be used.
7. Post too old
The post was made more than 90 days ago. Please note that although we don’t reject posts between several weeks and 90 days old, it does impact the reward. We strongly discourage posting old content, and anything over 90 days will be rejected.
8. Poor quality
The post does not meet the minimum quality standards. Social Tip can only reward authentic content. Any screenshots, cut-outs of logos, or other low-effort content will be rejected and may place your account under team supervision. If it continues, we will suspend your account.
9. No ad mention
If your post does not mention “Ad” anywhere, we will have to reject it for legal reasons. You can place it in the caption, add it as a sticker, or say it verbally — as long as it is included in some form in your post.
10. No brand mention
Your post does not mention the brand the post is synced to. Please make sure the brand you are posting about is clear and visible.
11. Violates notice to members
This is due to there being a brand specific notice regarding certain a certain criteria or product/range being excluded from rewards. (ex. M&S cannot reward posts about their food hall range)
12. Post type not valid The attached media is not a post.
We cannot accept screenshot type media when the brand is not digital, please make sure to create your own original content.
£0 Reward Scenarios
1. Posting Limits: Only 7 posts per platform are eligible for rewards in a rolling 7-day period. Exceeding this limit will result in £0 rewards for additional posts. 2. Post Performance: Reward eligibility can depend on a post's performance. For example, posts with zero views may result in £0 rewards. Ensure your posts are engaging and visible to maximise reward potential.
