Some brands on Social Tip now reward you with a gift card for that brand instead of cash. You still create and post content in the same way. The only difference is how your reward is paid.
What are gift card rewards?
When you post about a brand that offers gift card rewards, your reward is paid as a gift card for that brand, worth the reward value and typically pays higher. Each brand pays its rewards either as cash or as gift cards, never a mix of both.
Right now, Prezzo and Buy A Gift offer gift card rewards. We'll be adding more brands soon. Gift card rewards help us bring even more household names to Social Tip, which means more ways for you to earn, so watch this space!
How do I know if a brand pays in gift cards?
Before you post, check the brand's page in the Brands section of the app. Brands that reward with gift cards are clearly marked there. If you'd prefer a cash reward, take a look at other brands on the platform, but if you are buying any way, you may as well get rewarded in a gift card too!
Where can I find my gift cards?
Open your Wallet in the app.
Underneath your cash balance, you'll see your gift card balance.
Tap your gift card balance to see a breakdown of your gift card balance for each brand.
How do I use my gift cards?
Each gift card needs to be redeemed before you can use it with the brand. Every gift card has its own expiry date, so check the date for each one and use it before it runs out.
Can I swap a gift card for cash?
No. Gift card rewards can't be converted to cash or withdrawn to your bank account. They are redeemed as a gift card for the rewarded value, to be spent with that brand only.
Cash rewards from other brands work just as before. They go into your cash balance, and you can withdraw them as usual.
