Understanding how transactions work in Social Tip

After your post has completed its calculation period (typically 48 hours, or earlier if a reward cap is met) and the status changes to 'Rewarded', the cash amount is deposited into your Social Tip wallet within the app.

When you request a withdrawal on Social Tip, the process involves two key steps: first, Social Tip processes your payout request internally, which typically takes 24 to 72 hours (at a maximum). Next, your bank processes the transfer, and the time it takes for the funds to appear in your account depends on your bank's processing speed. Although it is often quicker, processing timelines may vary.


What If Your Payout Takes Longer?

Occasionally, withdrawals may take a bit longer because of technical issues or delays associated with banking institutions. If you don’t see your payment within 3 working days from your initial request, consider the following steps:

  • Double-check bank account details: Make sure that the details entered in the app are accurate and match your official bank records.

  1. Verify your Request: Double-check to ensure your withdrawal request was successfully submitted.

  2. Bank Holidays: Confirm there are no national or local banking holidays delaying the payment.

  3. Reach Out to Support: For persistent issues, contact Social Tip’s support team for assistance.

  4. Monitor Payment Status: Check the status of your withdrawal in the Social Tip app. If it is marked as "completed," Social Tip has processed the payment successfully, and delays may be due to processing by your bank.

Factors Influencing Withdrawal Times

Several factors can affect the timeline of your withdrawal:

  • Bank Policies: Certain banks might take additional time to process incoming wire transfers.

  • Public Holidays: Processing by both Social Tip and banking institutions can be delayed by holidays.

  • Bank Account Verification: Ensure that the bank account details entered in the app are accurate to avoid delays.

You can see a history of your rewards and withdrawals within your Social Tip wallet on the app. To confirm the status of a transaction, go to the Withdrawal History page in the app. If the withdrawal is marked as "completed," the payment has been processed successfully.
